Operation: As the bagger pulls film from roll stock and forms it into a tube, sealing tools apply heat to the seal areas to form the longitudinal seal and the cross seal of the bag. Each time a cross seal for a new bag is made the bagger calls for a charge of product from the feeder. As soon as the correct amount of product is dispensed, the filled bag is advanced to receive a partial top seal. As the top seal is formed the finished bag is cut off from the next bag to be filled and is placed into an integrated pocket conveyor. From there the bag travels through a set of stations including a top sealing station and various folding sections to form the specified top closure configuration. The finished bag is discharged from the pocket conveyor for further packing.
